Suzanne Selfors (’90) publishes fairy tale
On Oct. 6 at 2 p.m., join Suzanne Selfors (MA, 1990) and Sheila Roberts to celebrate their chocolate-themed books at Liberty Bay Books in Poulsbo, Wash. Selfors’ The Sweetest Spell is a fairy tale about Emmeline Thistle, a dirt-scratcher’s daughter who has escaped death twice – on the night she was born and on the day her entire village was swept away by a flood. Left with nothing and no one, Emmeline discovers her rare and mysterious ability – she can churn cream into chocolate, a delicacy more precious than gold. Suddenly, the most unwanted girl in the kingdom is desired by all.
