SAAFF returns after 5-year hiatus

The UW Department of Communication is a sponsor of the Seattle Asian American Film Festival, taking place at the Wing Luke Museum from January 25–27. A total of 25 films will be screened throughout the festival, among a variety of panel discussions dealing with a range of topics including World War II incarceration, the bombing of Hiroshima, Chinese exclusion, the disappearing Manong generation, Asians and Asian Americans in film, music, business, politics and more. SAAFF’s mission is to seek out, promote, produce, and develop Asian American artists with a commitment to original and innovative media works.  Watch the promo video here.

Tickets can be purchased for each individual event at $8 for students, seniors and kids, or $10 for general audiences. The cost for access to the entire line-up of SAAFF events is $75.
