Dr. Phil Howard to present second Inaugural Lecture
In the new “Inaugural Lectures” series given by Communication Department faculty, recently promoted full professor and principal lecturers offer reflective autobiographical talks on the questions and ideas that motivate their scholarship, and the ideas that have inspired them. On October 30, Dr. Phil Howard will share stories of his research: three that didn’t go well, three that went strangely, and three that went well. The lecture is titled, “What Actually Happened Was Much Stranger: Research Adventures From Grad School to the Present” and Howard said along the way there may be some propositions, polemics, and truisms.
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, October 30 in the Communications Building, room CMU 120 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. A reception celebrating Dr. Howard’s scholarship will follow in the CMU 202/204. RSVP here.
