COM Faculty and Alumna Published at CHI 2017

Communication Leadership alumna Samantha Hautea and Department assistant professor Benjamin Mako Hill recently had their research published at CHI2017 – the premier international conference on Human-Computer Interaction.

Their paper tackled the complex intersection of privacy, data collection, and the youth who find themselves at the center of it all. By interviewing young users in the Scratch online community, Samantha and Mako shed light on a perspective often overlooked in debates over digital monitoring.
