BETH BOLLINGER | Peter Clarke and Susan Evans Graduate Research Fund

Beth Bollinger is currently working on her dissertation, “Community Based Campaigns about Consent,” which is an extension of the research she proposed when applying for the Peter Clarke and Susan Evans Graduate Research Fund. She initially used these funds to conduct pilot study focus groups, which documented college students’ understanding of, and communication about, sexual consent. Specifically, Beth conducted these pilot focus groups over a four-week period, culminating in the creation of a public health campaign on the best ways to communicate messages about consent.

She plans to create similar focus groups during her dissertation work, in order to fully research this topic and create a useable, communication-based public health campaign on effective methods for educating the public on sexual consent.
