Cindy Simmons has a law degree from the University of Washington and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has taught Mass Media Law, digital media content, and reporting. Prior to teaching, Simmons was a professional journalist for 15 years, including covering the Wisconsin state legislature for United Press International. Here in Seattle she has worked for specialty legal publications. In law school she studied reporter shield laws.
