Graduate Student Information
One of the best ways to learn about our department is to take a look at the
interests of our current students, their
work, their publications, and the theses
and dissertations of past students. Our graduate students
form a dynamic scholarly community -- please explore this portion of our site
to learn more.
Exit surveys
show how our graduates feel about their experience in our program, and the Placement
Record page shows where our alumni are currently teaching.
New Resources for Current and Incoming Students
Information for graduate students 2007-8 (MS Word)
This memo outlines how we support graduate student teaching and research, specifically our policies on funding for travel, research, photocopying, and computer lab use. These policies derive from our desire to provide support for the things you most need – at the same time making appropriate use of limited resources.
Committee service (MS Word)
The Department of Communication has several standing committees that specialize in key issues (such as outreach and development, interdisciplinary outreach, technology, etc.).
We would like to include our graduate students on several key committees this year. If you are interested, please click the link above to read on and identify a committee that might interest you.
