Barry Wong spoke to news lab about photojournalism; he was at The Seattle Times for 27 years and now has his own business. The prior week, news lab students visited The Seattle Times and sat down with two reporters who were not only UW Communication alumni, but news lab alumni as well: Ian Ith ('94) and Stephanie Dunnewind ('92).
Neil McReynolds ('56), Communication alumnus; former editor of Eastside Journal; former press aide to Governor Dan Evans.
Bryan Monroe ('87) spoke in 3 Communication courses: a course on graphics/design taught by Karen Rathe; beginning reporting taught by Mike Henderson; and a political communication course taught by Lance Bennett. Our communication students and faculty thoroughly enjoyed Bryan Monroe's talks and were excited to hear his real-world experiences and advice.
