Florangela Davila, lecturer, has been teaching diversity reporting in the UW’s Communication department since 2005. She’ll be teaching digital journalism in winter and spring of the 2008-09 academic year. Before joining the faculty in 2008, she worked at The Seattle Times as a reporter, writing both news and feature stories. She previously worked as the education reporter at The Alameda Times-Star in California. She is currently a freelance radio reporter at KPLU where she’s also done multimedia work.

She earned B.A.s in political science and French from the University of California at Berkeley in 1989 and her M.S. in journalism from Columbia University in 1992.
