Natalie Debray, Lecturer, earned her Ph.D. in Communication and her M.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington. Her research focuses on International Communication with an emphasis on mass media and cultural identity. She is particularly interested in media systems in Francophone countries, notably Canada, with a special emphasis on Quebec, and the role of media in French Canadian society.

Debray teaches courses in Mass Media and Culture; Intercultural Communication; Communication and International Relations; Film, Culture, and Society; and Introduction to Mass Communication. She is also an affiliate faculty in Canadian Studies at the UW Jackson School of International Studies.
