PRSSA MEETING - WRITING WORKSHOP! THURSDAY, MAY 29 at 7:00 p.m.
( PR/PRSSA )
Mark your calendars, because the Public Relations Student Society of
America (PRSSA) is holding a writing workshop on Thursday, May 29th at
7:00 p.m. to help you learn a valuable skill for your future PR careers!
Have you thought about a career in public relations? Have you had an
internship related to public relations? Are you wondering what job skills
will be required to perform well in an entry-level position? Then this
workshop is for you!
Learn the valuable skill of PITCHING to the media. Writing pitch letters
and pitching stories over the phone are tactics used by PR professionals
to gain a media person's attention and entice that person to make further
inquiries about your product, brand, or event. Unfortunately, many
university students receive little, if any training or guidance on this
topic. And, pitching stories to reporters is one of the many tasks you'll
be required to do in an entry-level position. Here are the details, once
again...
WHERE: Communications Building, Room 304 (The computer lab)
When: May 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
Who: PRSSA Members (and anyone else that is interested in PR!)
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at
prssa@u.washington.edu or visit our website at
http://students.washington.edu/prssa.
See you then!
