Premier Journalism Internship Application

Seattle Times Internships
20 hours/week
4 hour or longer shifts
1 quarter/3 months

Research and report stories for the Pulitzer Prize-winning Seattle Times. Internship opportunities available on several desks and in copy editing. Competitive placement; recommended for advanced students with newsroom experience (NewsLab, Daily, Internships).

Qualifications:
Recommended for students with newsroom experience. Willingness/ability to do both enterprise and assignment reporting.

Seattle Weekly Internship (Magazine Newswriting)
6 months (2 quarters)
10-20 hours/week

Qualifications: Strong writing skills and reporting experience. Internship supervisor will review resume and writing sample as part of the application process.

Paid internships at Puget Sound Business Journal: Business or Technology Reporting
20 hours/week | $10/hour
1 quarter/3 months

Interns are expected to be able to report, write and copy edit at a level that allows them to be quickly integrated into our newsroom. PSBJ expects a lot from interns, given their ambitious goals, small staff and steady demand for good content for both the print weekly paper and website, and UW students report back that the internship is a wonderful — and challenging — experience. Positions available at TechFlash and in the newsroom.

Crosscut: Editorial Internship
15 hours/week
1-2 quarters; 1-2 credits each
Bus tickets provided

The editorial intern is an integral member of the editorial team in a small-but-growing work environment. The position is unpaid, but will work directly with talented editors, writers and community figures and will include opportunities to write contracted freelance articles to be published on Crosscut.com.
