Sarah Stuteville, Artist in Residence, is a co-founder of The Seattle Globalist, a daily “hyperglobal” blog covering international connections in the Pacific Northwest, housed in the UW Communication Department. She teaches Entrepreneurial Journalism and writes a weekly column for The Seattle Times on international connections in the Pacific Northwest.
She has written for The Seattle Times, The Seattle Weekly, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Global Post and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, among others. She won a 2011 Sigma Delta Chi Award for magazine writing, three 2011 Northwest Excellence in Journalism awards and a 2008 Unity Award for an investigative story on the Guest Worker program in Washington State. She recently traveled to the Former Soviet Union and am producing an hour-long radio documentary about young people and politics in that region for the Public Radio Exchange.
